The Inn was originally built, circa 1879, by Mr. Waugh. It has been many things over the years…
It has been a hospital; a Methodist Church; a boarding house and finally, in 1996, it was renovated and became The Lion’s Head Inn. One look at the Inn and you will be convinced that it was “plucked” from the English countryside–and placed on the beautiful, Bruce Peninsula. The Inn represents everything that you would expect from an English Country Inn–through its decor; the friendly staff; the traditional English fare on our menu and of course the refreshing selection of fine draughts on tap. Our location on the Bruce Peninsula, with its many diverse offerings, has added to the character of the Inn, as well. We feature fresh caught local fish; prime cuts of local lamb and beef and an impressive list of Wines from Ontario. So come in…relax, and enjoy your time at our lovely, little Inn. Everyone is welcome here…
